Oilers insider Bob Stauffer shared that Edmonton Oilers are expected to trade for a bottom-six forward with size, physicality and is polyvalent on the ice.

This move aims to add grit and depth to the Oilers' lineup as they prepare for a postseason run.
The current bottom-six group is crowded and several veteran forwards are competing for ice time, but Evander Kane's return could complicate the roster dynamics.
One potential trade candidate is Jeff Skinner who has struggled to secure consistent playing time this season with the Oilers and is often finding himself on the fourth line or as a healthy scratch.
Earlier this season, Stauffer linked the Oilers to Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic who is a 26-year-old in the final year of his $2.3M contract.
Frederic is unlikely to return to Boston in free agency and it's making him a good trade candidate and is known for his physical and fast-paced style.
Frederic also brings some offense even if his offensive production has dipped this season, with just seven goals and 14 points in 48 games.
Adding Frederic and with the return of Evander Kane, it could provide the Oilers with the physicality and polyvalence their bottom-six need to succeed in the playoffs.
As the trade deadline approaches, it will be interesting to see how the Oilers will use their roster and what moves GM Ken Holland makes to help the team's playoff prospects.
And you, do you think Ken Holland should trade for a bottom-six forward to help the lineup?
