The St. Louis Blues are coming off an impressive 5-2 victory against the New York Rangers last night, but this morning presented some added good news for the franchise.
During practice, defenceman Philip Broberg was seen taking reps donning the regular grey practice jersey, signifying he's been cleared for contact.
In the video posted on X (formally known as twitter) Broberg appears to be no worse for wear, smoothly gliding down the ice while simultaneously testing his knee.
This is great new for Blues enthusiasts, who have been without their best defender for the past 3 weeks.
The initial prognosis stated that Broberg would be missing at-least 4-6 weeks, but it appears that Philip Broberg is way ahead of schedule, and potential return to the ice is now probable.
On November 2nd, the St. Louis Blues faced-off against the Toronto Maple Leafs, during which defenceman Philip Broberg sustained a devastating knee injury.
Broberg's leg got tangled up with Marner on the way down, and Broberg seemed to land awkwardly on his left leg, resulting him to be escorted off the ice.
Philip Broberg has been a bright star for the St. Louis Blues so far.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, in 11 games this season, Broberg has scored an incredible 2 goals and 9 points.
He always had shown that offensive potential as a prospect, but unfortunately, the Oilers lost him just as he was developing.
