Tomorrow's game against the Los Angeles Kings is filled with several enticing storylines, one of which is that Warren Foegele will be facing his former team since signing with his new team.
After the Edmonton Oilers made it all the way to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals last season, it was clear that the Edmonton Oilers wouldn't be able to afford to keep that same roster intact.
Fast forward a few weeks later, The LA Kings signed forward Warren Foegele to a three-year contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $3,500,000 through the 2026-27 season.
While Foegele embraced his new opportunity on the West coast, his new deal came with some well deserved ribbing from his former teammates.

A few months ago, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman sat down with Foegele to discuss his new opportunity in California, and the former Oilers forward admitted that his new deal jokingly irked his former teammates.

As much as it hurt Foegele to not be part of the Oilers formula moving forward, it's still nice to see a level of mutual respect and camaraderie between him and his former teammates.
The fact that he and Adam Henrique both have cottages beside each other is quite remarkable, and it will be interesting to see how the Oilers interact with him tomorrow.
