Wild scene emerges at the United Centre as a wild bat disrupts puck-drop
The Edmonton Oilers are currently taking on Chicago Blackhawks, but a strange scene occurred before puck drop as a wild bat was seen flying around at ice level, causing a short delay before puck drop.
I'll be honest...this one is quite strange.
Moments before puck-drop, fans were in shock as a wild bat was flying around, causing the Blackhawks ice-crew to pull out all the stops in attempt to catch it.
Impressively, a crew member busted out the ol' fishing net and was able to apprehend the bat, and the game was able to finally begin.
Hopefully, the bat didn't sustain any injuries, but fans at United Centre definitely got their money's worth.
If the Chicago Blackhawks manage to scrape a win together tonight, I think it's safe to say that the organization may have found their new mascot.
